Hangin with the Fam

As most of you know, my Grandma Skinner passed away on Dec. 23 at the age of 94. While this added a bit of a sad note to Christmas, at least we were able to be home for the funeral on Dec. 29 (if we had been in Malaysia, I don't think I would have made it. The other "bonus" that comes with a funeral of a family member is the family...as the saying goes, weddings and funerals are a great time for families to get together. This resulted in being able to see more of some relatives we had short visits with and lots of others we would not have been able to see at all. Alyssa and Hayden loved hanging out with their cousins and it added a lot of excitement to their holiday.

Alyssa and Hayden loved playing music...the guitar was the Xmas time fav with the piano close behind.

Great photo Jess! One of Alyssa's fav cousins.

Heather, Jess and Alyssa ~ does Alyssa look content or what?

Just hangin out with the cuz

Chris, Jess's husband made the kids "fly"... I really don't believe that he is not good with kids ~ at over 6 feet which kid wouldn't want to hang around with him. And, he has great pick up lines like when one asks to see his firefighter badge and he says "it's real, bite it and see"...ah Chris

Mom, Heather and Heather ~ no family resemblance there!

Hayden putting his bear (and checkers) carefully to bad ~ the best part...check out Chris in the background

It seems uncle Harry talks a lot... :) just joking
