Just down the road from our hotel (right at the entrance to Club Med) was the Turtle Sanctuary. The kids liked looking at the turtles. There were some really tiny ones. You can actually book to see the turtles hatch and head into the ocean, but there is no guarantee and it is well after the kids' (and my) bedtime.
