Our last day in Australia, we took the train back down to the Gold Coast (which the kids thought was super cool!). To kill some time (and because we heard it was cool), we headed to the Carumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. It's a lot less expensive than the zoo and it is a rehab area for various Australian animals. It's the closest thing you'll get to seeing these Aussie animals in the wild.
